Custom Gun Belt & Holster on drop-loop

Video

Beaver News #60 – September 25, 2017

Today we are talking again about a custom item: this is a gun belt with a holster that we just manufactured for one of our customers.

He wanted a 1-3/4″ belt and he wanted to have a drop-loop on it to put on the holster for his revolver. As a prospector, he goes into the woods a lot and he has a license to carry. He wanted something that is versatile and that fits his .357 magnum

Also, because he carries different equipment on his belt he found that if the belt buckle is on the left side, where it normally is on a man’s belt, it has gotten in the way of his equipment. So we manufactured the belt to his desire and put the buckle on the right side. Watch the video to see the other features on this custom rig.

How to clean and condition leather goods

Beaver News #17 – August 3, 2015

New Video: “How to take care of leather goods?”

This is a question that we are asked a lot, so we decided to answer it in this weeks Beaver News and also make a video about it.

First of all: You only need to do this every once in a while ! The main purpose is to put oils onto the leather that then impregnate into the leather which will keep it nice and pliable and above all protected.

Here a short summary of what to do and what NOT to do:

Step 1
Before you use any of the products we suggest, make sure you take off all the dust and dirt. Use a small soft brush and some lukewarm water and brush off the dirt and then take a nice soft cotton cloth and wipe it dry.
DO NOT immerse the leather into the water and make it soaking wet.

Step 2
Take the product of your choice (Neatsfoot Oil, 4Way Care, Lexol or Natur Glo) and apply a moderate amount onto a soft cotton cloth and wipe down your rig or leather product.
DO NOT apply directly onto the leather

Step 3
We use some Fiebing’s Aussie Leather Conditioner  that helps protect the leather.

Step 4
When everything is dry (after about 2-3 hours) take a soft brush (or a cotton cloth) and buff it out. The heat friction will help penetrate the conditioner and help create a coating on the outside. It also give you a very nice lush color and makes your leather look really good.

Custom Fitted Holsters

Beaver News #15 – June 16, 2015

New Video: “custom fitted holsters”

In this short video Mark demonstrates what separates a standard store-bought holster from one of our custom hand made fitted holsters.

Because we case the holster and mold the leather to your gun, the holster fits snug like a glove and has some retention. Your firearm will not fall out, even if held upside down, yet you can pull it out quite easily. This is really nice to have it that way because when you don’t want the firearm to bounce around inside the holster when you are walking around.

bif>Our holsters do keep their integrity and retention as long as you maintain the leather properly, meaning, you don’t over oil it. (We will be doing a video soon on how to maintain your leather goods)
